Congratulations to the U13 Cricket team who narrowly missed out on the Under 13 Middlesex McKinsey Cup Final by virtue of a bowl-off in their qualifier. However, they put their disappointment behind them by finishing third in the U15 Final, despite competing against students two years their senior. With Year 9 Flynn absent due to being selected for the London Schools Cricket team on the same day and our Year10’s on study leave, the Year 8’s stepped up to the plate and demonstrated fearlessness.

Their opponents Heston, in the group stage were surprised by APS’ ability and only narrowly won the first match with just the last ball in the over to spare. They were a lot more convincing in the next game which put them in the final. However, APS brought their ‘A’ game to the 3rd / 4th Playoff with a fabulous display of bowling and fielding limiting their opponents score. This was followed up with a convincing batting performance that saw William retired at 20+ runs for the second time in the competition and Ray finishing off the match with an over to spare.

William and Patrick were both presented with x4 tickets for Lords, by the staff from Middlesex at the closing presentation. This was to reward their outstanding performances during the day. The whole team deserved a lot of credit for the way in which they demonstrated the APS values.
