The APS U15 Girls cricket team were crowned Haringey Champions in the HSSA Competition hosted by Fortismere.

They beat Highgate Wood in the semi final and then Highgate Public School in the final. This led to an invite to the Middlesex Indoor Cricket School to represent Haringey in the Inner Region Final. Here the girls qualified for the County final by comfortably beating South Hampstead High School for Girls 137 runs to their 71 runs; followed by a narrow victory against  Upper Latymer School, passing their score of 83 runs with just three balls of the last over to spare. The girls now go on to play in the Middlesex final as one of the best five schools from all over Middlesex, playing off to see who become’s this year’s top school for cricket.

Another excellent team performance, helped APS girls win the U15 Inner Region Middlesex Cup Competition for the second time out of the last three years. The Middlesex Final is an all day competition, at the same venue, to be held on Thursday 5th March. All the girls should be very proud of their achievement, as this is the first time that our U13 and U15 girls both get to appear in the County finals in the same year.
